New Policies On Vietnam Visa - The Validity Up To 90 days
On June 24, 2023, the Vietnamese National Assembly passed the law amending and supplementing some parts of the "Law on Immigration, Transit, and Residence of foreigners in Vietnam," marking a significant step in attracting tourism and promoting diplomatic relations. Vietnam has issued electronic visas (E-visa Vietnam) to citizens of all countries and territories around the world since August 15, 2023
In the last year, 2022, Vietnam has issued an electronic visa (E-visa Vietnam) for more than 80 countries in the world. By E-visa, tourists from these countries can travel easily to Vietnam to experience its history, culture, people and taste diverse cuisine here.
On August 14th, 2023, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP, paving the way for issuing of electronic visas (E-Visa) for citizens of all countries worldwide, including 257 countries and territories. The Resolution is a breakthrough step in advancing international relations, opening the door for cooperation and exchange between countries.
Therefore, since August 15, 2023, foreigners regardless of nationality or country, can apply for a Vietnam electronic visa online. This means anyone from anywhere worldwide can easily set foot in Vietnam for tourism, visiting relatives, work, or commercial activities.
The vital change in this policy is the validity of time the electronic visa. According to the Resolution, electronic visas are valid from 1 month to a maximum of 3 months. This creates flexible conditions for foreigners to experience and explore Vietnam.
