Can you apply 6-month visas in Vietnam?
No, that's not the case. Starting from August 24th, 2014, the Immigration Department temporarily ceased issuing six-month multiple-entry visas. Consequently, the longest duration available for application is a three-month multiple-entry visa. Individuals holding a five-year Vietnam visa exemption certificate are allowed a maximum stay of 180 days per visit.
Those desiring a longer stay beyond 180 days in Vietnam can opt to extend their visa while within the country, with the extension valid for up to six months.
The visa exemption certificate remains valid for up to five years and must expire at least six months prior to the expiration of the holder's passport or equivalent document.
